Our violinist and cellist performed a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Miler's Chapel of the Ancaster Mill in June of 2019, and we received a lovely review from the bride. "Incredibly talented and perfectly professional. We selected our ceremony songs but allowed Duo D'Amore to choose the pre-ceremony songs while our guests were seated and we couldn't be happier with the mood they set for us. We had two musicians play at our Ancaster Mill indoor ceremony and it was the perfect volume and presence needed."

Our experience with Duo d’Amore was outstanding. It was a last minute decision, not even 10 days before the wedding. Our string trio (two violins and cello) was hired to perform for a corporate reception on February 28^th 2019, for a corporate customer reception at the Westin Ottawa. The event was held at Daly’s on the third floor, and we were happy to perform for the guests. Most guests were between the ages of 25-65, and we created an interesting and fun playlist of upbeat pop as well as classical music.

What a beautiful wedding and look at the gorgeous Church! We had a great time working with Gary and Adora to plan the ceremony music, and were able to come up with a unique playlist of songs that represented exactly the way they felt about each other and about the wedding day as a whole. Asyou can see from the following playlist, the string quartet performed a mix of classical music, and more modern music. As our largest ensemble performing in such a beautiful, large and resonant space of Tyndale Chapel University Church was ideal, and they we able to fill the Church with the full, nuanced sound of the string quartet!

This was a great wedding ceremony held at Charles Daly Park in Jordan and made even more special by the unique music selections that John and Marianne chose. We were of course very happy to accommodate, and the interplay between the classical selections of the English composer Sir Edward Elgar and the Resident Evil music, both worked well, and were surprising for the guests to say the least!

“We hired Duo D'Amore to provide a violin and cello duo for our outdoor ceremony at Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Communication was fast and efficient. They had an excellent selection of pieces to choose from for our ceremony, including many non-traditional classical pieces. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a similar group for their wedding or event!” Taryn, Bride

Taryn hired Duo d’Amore to perform for her wedding ceremony at the Pillar and Post in Niagara, which is always lovely, and we enjoy performing there. The ceremony music was all classical, and extremely elegant while also upbeat-especially the recessional. For the Bride we performed Charpentier’s Prelude from TeDeum followed by Massent’s Meditation from Thais. This was originally written for violin and orchestra, and we often perform it in an incredible arrangement for the violin and cello—it’s a real showpiece and makes a statement. Lastly for the recessional, our violinist and cellist performed the bright and happy La Rejouissance as the couple walked down the aisle together!

It was a real pleasure communicating with Maricar for her beautiful wedding at St Catherine of Siena Church in Mississauga. She hired Duo d’Amore’s most requested ensemble (our violin and cello duo) to perform for her wedding Mass, and chose a great selection of both classical music and popular music to fit the portions of the mass. If you are reading this because you are planning a wedding, it is good to note that St Catherine of Siena Church was very accommodating to different genres of music. Some catholic Churches have a strict list of music that couple s can pick from, and in this case the bride and groom had the opportunity to add some modern flair alongside the classical pieces.
