“Hire them, you won’t regret it! Duo d’Amore showed up early, played the right songs at the right time, and were flexible enough to play music not found in their repertoire (I sent them the sheet music which they transposed). You should hire Duo d’Amore for your next event – you won’t regret it!” John R, groom
Edward Elgar Salut d’amour
Edward Elgar: Nimrod from the Enigma Variations
Resident Evil: Code Veronica – Berceuse Wedding
This was a great wedding ceremony held at Charles Daly Park in Jordan and made even more special by the unique music selections that John and Marianne chose. We were of course very happy to accommodate, and the interplay between the classical selections of the English composer Sir Edward Elgar and the Resident Evil music, both worked well, and were surprising for the guests to say the least!
“We hired Duo D’Amore to provide a violin and cello duo for our outdoor ceremony at Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Communication was fast and efficient. They had an excellent selection of pieces to choose from for our ceremony, including many non-traditional classical pieces. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a similar group for their wedding or event!” Taryn, Bride
Taryn hired Duo d’Amore to perform for her wedding ceremony at the Pillar and Post in Niagara, which is always lovely, and we enjoy performing there. The ceremony music was all classical, and extremely elegant while also upbeat-especially the recessional. For the Bride we performed Charpentier’s Prelude from TeDeum followed by Massent’s Meditation from Thais. This was originally written for violin and orchestra, and we often perform it in an incredible arrangement for the violin and cello—it’s a real showpiece and makes a statement. Lastly for the recessional, our violinist and cellist performed the bright and happy La Rejouissance as the couple walked down the aisle together!

The weather was perfect for this outdoor wedding at Konzelmann Estate Winery. Tiffany and Michael hired our largest ensemble, the string quartet, which provides the maximum volume and richness of sound, and it really helped to create lasting memories for the bride and groom as well as the guests. The ceremony music was all pop music, and we were excited to perform fantastic arrangements.

It was a fantastic day, and we are so pleased to have been a part of this beautiful wedding ceremony! Enjoy!
The Oakes Garden Theatre is quite a popular wedding location, as it overlooks Niagara Falls. For Joanna and Matthew’s ceremony, they selected music that complemented a springtime morning wedding. Starting the processional (two flower girls and one ring bearer) with Bach stars things off right, Following that was the mother’s processional set to another piece by Bach-Jesu Joy. For the bride’s entrance, something a little more modern fit nicely with Elvis. The signing is a point in the ceremony where the music can be a bit more subdued, and a perfect choice is an arrangement by the French composer Gounod of another piece by Bach, the famous Ave Maria. And to finish, Bittersweet Symphony!

We love performing at Vineland Estates, especially in the carriage house-so charming! For Terri and matt’s wedding, the string duet of violin and cello performed a fantastic selection of classical and pop repertoire that fit the occasion beautifully! From our perspective, the couple did a wonderful job choosing the songs to fit the parts of the ceremony.

May 16th was such a beautiful and sunny day—perfect for an outdoor spring wedding! The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Oban Inn in Niagara on the lake. The ceremony was held outdoors just in front of a lovely gazebo, surrounded by attractive manicured grounds. We arrived early (as always) and found a spot to park on a nearby street –and we didn’t mind the walk as we passed many stately and historic houses—some from the late 18th century! We immediately said hello to Meagan from Weddings Tied with Lace (we always enjoy working with her) and setup our stands and the staff brought us two chairs. Soon enough, the guests began to arrive, and we started to play some light prelude music to help set the mood. When the officiant and groomsmen were at the front of the “aisle” signaling that the bridesmaids were in position, we started off the ceremony with a beautiful rendition of Pachelbel’s Canon. When all the bridesmaids have commenced their walk, we expertly switched to Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love for the bridal processional. For the signing of the register the violinist and cellist changed back to classical music, with Bach’s Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, and ended the ceremony triumphantly with a fun version of Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. Just following the bride and Grooms exit, we continued to play for a few minutes, escorting the guests out of their seats with more music. At this point the guests made their way indoors for a cocktail reception, and we continued to perform for this portion of the day, all the way through dinner. We received many compliments, and were glad to participate in such a beautiful wedding day!
