Amber + Ben’s wedding ceremony at St George’s Banquet Hall, July 19, 2014, violin and cello duo, Waterloo Ontario wedding musicians

Thank you so much! It was amazing and the duo put it over the top” Amber and Ben

It was so nice to work with Amber and Ben to plan the music for their wedding.  In fact, Amber made everything so easy by choosing such great songs for the ceremony, with a wonderful flow, and a mix of high energy upbeat songs, more traditional classical and even some rock selections as well. The ceremony took place at St George’s Banquet Hall, technically in Waterloo but just a stone’s throw from the quaint village of St Jacobs. After arriving and setting up we performed a number of popular and classical selections for the guests arrival just prior to the start of the wedding ceremony. For the processional, there were two songs—one song for the wedding party (there were 5 bridesmaids) and another song for the bride. This was exactly the right choice, as two songs are better than one when there are more than two bridesmaids. The violinist and cellist started the ceremony off with Bittersweet Symphony for the bridesmaid, then expertly transitioned into Pachelbel’s Canon in D for the brides processional. Then came the vows and the rigs and the signing of the registry. The signing is a beautiful point in the ceremony for soft music, and the string duet performed Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years, and ended the song as the bride and groom came back to the centre of the aisle. As the officiant pronounced them husband and wife and they walked down the aisle we performed Sweet Child of Mine, which was a great way to get the party started as the couple and guests went off to the reception. Congratulations!
