Our experience with Duo d’Amore was outstanding. It was a last minute decision, not even 10 days before the wedding. They’ve made sure everything would be set up perfectly and gave us recommendations to help with the music selection. They created a truly magical atmosphere. We love clients like Kaitlyn and Cole as they were extremely excited to have Duo d’Amore perform a fantastic selection of music at their wedding ceremony at Hockley Valley. As the guests arrived the violin and cello duet performed modern pop music, with songs including Fields of Gold, I Think I Wanna Marry you, River Flows in You and others. When the officiant, parents and groomsmen were ready, we performed You Raise Me Up, making a smooth transition into Beyonce’s Halo for the four bridesmaids. For the bride the strings performed a lovely rendition of Pachelbel Canon for a traditional touch. When the couple signed the marriage license, we moved back to pop music with Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love. When the couple was pronounced man and wife and the wedding party exited, w performed Viva la Vida, to add a lovely touch to a memorable wedding ceremony!

We have performed at St Anthony’s Church many times, and it is a lovely location to get married, and the staff at the church are always very helpful, not to mention kind and appreciative of our music!
Lisa and Alexandre’s wedding ceremony there on the 28th of September was a very classic wedding ceremony with songs that are often performed at weddings. We love performing at weddings like these! It’s amazing how many times we have performed songs like The Wagner Bridal Chorus and Ave Maria to name a few, and it is always amazing that each time is different, and each wedding demands a lot of attention and unspoken communication with the musicians as we perform to make sure that songs begin and end at the most appropriate time. This is one of the joys of performing weddings, and we love this aspect of matching our playing and watching the guests and the bride and the priest who we have worked with in the past to deliver not just a solid performance, but one that is in tune with the surroundings, the type of wedding and the wishes of our clients. This is just one of the elements that make’s Duo d’Amore special as a wedding ensemble in Ottawa, and we are luck and fortunate to work with clients who trust us, trust our ability and know that we love what we do, and that this feeling comes out in our performance, our attitude and is transferred to the guests and everyone at the wedding to add to the joy associated with a marriage.

The string duo performed at Roseanne and Tyler’s wedding ceremony and everything was wonderful. The bride and groom selected very traditional music for the ceremony, and the duo performed a number of hymns from the Catholic book of worship III for the offering and communion portion of the mass.
