Toronto Wedding Ceremony Musicians. We love clients like Kaitlyn and Cole as they were extremely excited to have Duo d’Amore perform a fantastic selection of music at their wedding ceremony at Hockley Valley. As the guests arrived the violin and cello duet performed modern pop music, with songs including Fields of Gold, I Think I Wanna Marry you, River Flows in You and others. When the officiant, parents and groomsmen were ready, we performed You Raise Me Up, making a smooth transition into Beyonce’s Halo for the four bridesmaids.
Beyonce’s Halo great for a wedding ceremony
When Beyonce released her groundbreaking 2008 album “I Am… Sasha Fierce”, it featured the smash hit, “Halo”. While the original version of the song was a pop masterpiece, the instrumental version of “Halo” for violin and cello brought the song to a whole new level.
The beautiful strings and gentle melodies of “Halo” for violin and cello bring out the true emotion of the song. Every note is delicately held and carefully placed to bring out the sorrow and beauty of Beyonce’s heartfelt lyrics. The strings reach soaring heights and then dip to depths of despair, reflecting the sentiment of the song itself. The combination of cello and violin creates a unique soundscape, which has been praised by fans and critics alike. The pairing of the two instruments is incredibly effective for conveying the message of the song. The cello provides a foundation for the more delicate violin to work its magic, building and releasing tension as the piece progresses.
The instrumental version of “Halo” for violin and cello has been covered by a wide range of artists, from classical cellist Yo-Yo Ma to metal guitarist Lita Ford. This is testament to the song’s enduring appeal and its ability to be interpreted in a variety of ways.
Bride’s wedding music
For the bride the strings performed a lovely rendition of Pachelbel Canon for a traditional touch. When the couple signed the marriage license, we moved back to pop music with Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love. When the couple was pronounced man and wife and the wedding party exited, w performed Viva la Vida, to add a lovely touch to a memorable wedding ceremony!
