Deanne and Michael’s wedding at the Ancaster Old Mill, September 29, 2012, violin and cello duo, Ancaster, ON

It was nice to be back at the Ancaster Mill for this gorgeous wedding ceremony, held outdoors at the Mill. Our clients selected wonderful music to accompany and highlight different parts of their ceremony, and as this wedding took place outdoors near a babbling brook, the water also played an interesting part in creating lovely ambience and a sense of timelessness. Our violinist and cellist started performing as the guests were being seated 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony,. This gave guests some time to chat before sitting down and taking their places, prior to the start of the wedding. As the mothers walked up the aisle the strings performed Bach’s Arioso—a lovely way to start the event. As the bride approached we switched to Pachelbel canon for her walk down the aisle. After the vows and the kiss, the signing took place, and as the register was being signed by the couple, witnesses and officiant, our ensemble played Vivaldi Winter from the Four seasons. As the couple exited after being pronounced as husband and wife, Duo d’Amore performed Clarke’s Trumpet Voluntary.
