Vicki and Chuck’s wedding ceremony and cocktail reception at the Grand Hall of the Table Rock Welcome Centre, November 24, 2012, violin and cello duo, Niagara Falls, ON

Chuck and I just wanted to thank you for doing such a wonderful job with your team at our wedding in Niagara Falls on November 24, 2012. The music was so beautiful I still tear up I hear it. I really appreciate all the time and effort you took in picking out the perfect songs including “Accidentally in Love” last minute. Everyone loved the music and had such a wonderful time. Thank you again and we wish you all the best! Vicki and Chuck, bride and groom

Vicky and Chuck were amazing to work with. We had a wonderful time discussing and customizing the music selections for their ceremony. Also, they worked really hard to achieve a beautiful setting for there wedding ceremony. If you have never been to the Table Rock Welcome Center before, the ground floor consists of tourist shops as you would expect at Niagara Falls. However, the second floor was virtually transformed into a candle lit dream during the ceremony. Add the fact that the large windows in the room had great views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls, and it is easy to imagine how beautiful this wedding was. For music, the couple wanted their guests to feel happy and warm and have a good time and enjoy the wedding. They wanted the ceremony to be classy, elegant and romantic, and the songs they chose really complemented everything. Following the ceremony we stayed to perform a one-hour cocktail reception. We received many comments and the wedding and reception were incredibly memorable. Congratulations!

Chantal and David’s wedding ceremony at Cave Spring Vineyard Retreat, September 15, 2012, violin and cello duo, Lincoln ON

Chantal and David had a wonderful wedding ceremony located in one of the most private settings in Niagara. Although Cave Springs Cellars is easily found on the main street in Jordan, the vineyard can be a bit tricky. You have to turn off on Cave Springs Rd and drive for a few km’s before you actually get to the venue. Thank goodness for the signs that the staff at Cave Springs put on the roard to let people know that a wedding is taking place!

This ceremony was beautiful, and it took place in the intimate venue known as the vineyard retreat. Chantal and David, chose their music wisely as it was very well suited to both the couple and the venue. Chantal wanted to enter to Pachelbel’s Canon, which was a great choice. The signing music was Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, and the ceremony ended to loud applause with the Beatles Here Comes the Sun!

What a perfect day!

Frank and Catherine’s wedding ceremony at Peninsula Ridge Winery, July 28, 2012, violin and cello duo, Beamsville ON

This ceremony was held under the beautiful apple trees at Peninsula Ridge Winery in beautiful Beamsville. In speaking with our clients they selected a fully classical playlist for the ceremony, but keeping the selections on the light and fresh side. Bach Air was gracefully performed as the bridesmaids made their way up to the front, followed by the rich and full sound of that wedding classic, Pachelbel’s Canon. After the vows and the rings, we performed Vivaldi’s Largo from the Four Seasons during the signing of the register. When the bride and groom were pronounced as husband and wife, we performed the up tempo Trumpet Tune by Purcell.

Prelude: mixed classical selections

Bridesmaids: Bach Air

Shufan and Bruce’s wedding ceremony at Riverbend Inn and Vineyards, July 6, 2012, violin and cello duo, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

While choosing wedding music selections, is fun and exciting, it can also be difficult, unless you are like this couple that knew exactly the mood that they wanted to create (lively, upbeat) and we worked together to make sure that the music had great flow. They also requested an arrangement of the opening Aria or the theme from J.S. Bach’s Goldberg variations. The ceremony opened with the bright and spirited Rejouissance by Handel (most often performed for the recessional) and it was a nice twist to have it performed by the violinist and cellist first thing. The Bach for the bride followed this, and they both exited to Coldplay’s Viva la Vida, for an even more upbeat recessional.

Riverbend Inn and Vineyards, was lovely as always and our musicians look forward to playing there again soon!
