Really the total opposite of this beautiful wedding ceremony that our string ensemble performed at Niagara Botanical Gardens. Wedding ceremony music selections
It was a great pleasure to work with the bride and groom on their music selections. It is of utmost importance that everything fits the spots of the ceremony where music is performed. After some back and forth we now have a great playlist. After the theme from rocky for the ring bearer (so cute!) our violinist and cellist performed the beautiful Two words for the wedding party. The bride walked down to Con Te Partiro. We can perform this song with all our ensembles from a solo violin or cello, to our most popular ensemble the violin and cello duo, or string duet, as well as the string trio and even the string quartet.
What is special about this song?
Incidentally “Con te partirò” (also known as “Time to Say Goodbye”) is an Italian song that became popular globally in the 1990s. It was originally written by Francesco Sartori and Lucio Quarantotto. The song is known for its emotional lyrics and its use of operatic vocals, which set it apart from many other pop songs at the time. It was a big hit in many countries, including Italy, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, and has since become a classic.
A unique aspect of the ceremony was the dove release and sand ceremony following the signing of the register.
