“Matthew, The duo that preformed at our wedding ceremony (at Elm Ridge Country Club) were absolutely amazing! They were set up and ready for the guests, started on time, played the music we wanted and did a phenomenal job! Thank you so much for helping make our ceremony something very memorable.” Vanessa, bride
Wedding ceremonies have changed quite a bit in the past ten years, but it’s nice to see a very traditional wedding (especially where the music is concerned) as many other things can be modernized to great effect including the music, but as they say some things never go out of style, and classical wedding music is one oft those things. To that end, Vanessa and Nicolas, had a beautiful wedding ceremony with wonderful classical music performed by the violinist and cellist, two excellent musicians from Duo d’Amore. As the bride walked down the aisle, we performed Pachelbel Canon—our version is quite a bit more full sounding than most, and we always love playing it, and that joy translated into both our performance and the guests enjoyment. For the signing of the register We performed another piece from the baroque period (around 1600-1750) by one of the most famous composers, Bach, his Jesu Joy with is smooth and rich, with a great pulse to it. For the recessional, we performed something that was really upbeat, lively and fun: Handel’s Hornpipe from the Water music. Theses songs worked very well individually and even better as a grouping and we were honored to perform them for such an appreciative bride and groom and guests.
