As June wraps up, wedding season is just about in full swing, and will continue until September, when things start to slow down. One of the great things (knock on wood) about 2015 so far is that the weather, while quite variable during the week, has been uniformly great across the country on weekends, something that we are thankful for, and we hope it continues all year long!

As I was checking the mail this week, I noticed a small envelope along with our mail. Upon opening it, I saw that is was a lovely thank you card from Jason and Sandy, from our performance at the Pillar and Post. Here’s the message inside:

During the cocktail reception following the wedding ceremony we performed good deal of upbeat and fun music (Beatles, U2, Beach Boys, Train, Foster the People etc) and it really suited both their planning and the mood for the day.
Niagara on the Lake wedding ceremony and reception music: Duo d’Amore-violin and cello duos, string trios and string quartets
This wedding ceremony in Barrie shows off the great variety of wedding music that we perform. It is also a great example of how to have a classic and classy wedding ceremony, but injecting some modern spirit and feel to the entire day.
This is one of the first weddings that our string players have ben apart of where the prelude as the guests arrived was totally popular music, and the ceremony was totally classical music. And the best part? It worked perfectly, and there were many compliments about the music.
We love performing at weddings like this, and are always happy to help brides and grooms with the music selections to make sure that the songs as well as the flow of songs, the order and the ensemble fits in perfectly with what they a have planned.

Indoor weddings in the summer are just great—we are always happy to perform indoors and many of the guests often greatly prefer indoor wedding to outdoor, especially in August, and especially if you have elderly or young children at the event. In the case of a heat wave or cold and damp weather, a Church wedding or other indoor location will always go off without a hitch! This was a very nice wedding, which combined the traditional church wedding with a number of modern and popular music choices, which received a number of positive comments from the guests.
