
Musician spotlight: Jennifer Hedican violinist. Jennifer Hedican started playing violin, beginning with the Suzuki method as a young child, and started teaching violin as a teenager, herself studying with Cathy Rappoport at the Royal Conservatory, Arkadi Yanivker of the Toronto Symphony and Dr. Jeremy Bell, Artist in Residence at Wilfrid Laurier University. She also participated in the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra under the direction of David Zafer. Since obtaining her Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance, Jennifer has performed with many orchestras in Southern Ontario and performed two summers with the National Academy orchestra, under Boris Brott. She is a long standing member of the North Bay Symphony, performing with them for over 22 years. Jennifer maintains a private violin teaching studio in North Bay and is currently accepting students at the Capitol Centre Studio.
