Get ready to discover the magic of including pets in your wedding ceremony.

Fur-Ever Love on Display

Including your pet in your wedding ceremony is a testament to the profound bond you share. Whether they’ve been by your side through thick and thin or you’ve recently welcomed a new addition to your family, having them present on this momentous occasion is a heartwarming declaration of your fur-ever love. Their presence brings an element of authenticity and joy that’s simply unmatched. As they walk down the aisle, tails wagging or paws gracefully padding, you’ll witness the purest form of unconditional love in action.

Paws-itively Perfect Roles for Your Pets

One of the joys of incorporating pets into your ceremony is assigning them special roles that align with their personalities. For dogs, consider appointing them as ring bearers, decked out in a dapper bowtie or a floral wreath. Cats, with their graceful charm, can take on the role of honorary attendants or even as the feline of honour, adding an air of elegance to the proceedings. Birds, rabbits, or even small mammals can bring their unique flair to the ceremony as well. Tailor their roles to what feels most natural and delightful for both you and your pet, ensuring they shine in the spotlight.

Preparing Your Pet for the Big Day

While the idea of having your pet be a part of your wedding is undeniably heartwarming, it’s essential to prepare them for the experience. Gradual exposure to the ceremony space, rehearsals, and positive reinforcement through treats and affection can go a long way in making them feel comfortable and confident on the big day. Additionally, consider enlisting the help of a trusted friend or professional pet handler to ensure they’re well-cared for and guided throughout the ceremony. With the right preparation, your pet will steal the show with grace and charm.

Pet-Friendly Ceremonial Touches

Incorporating pets into your wedding ceremony can extend beyond their physical presence. Consider special touches like personalized pet-themed décor, custom-made accessories, or even dedicating a moment in the ceremony to honor their significance in your lives. Including them in your vows or having a symbolic unity ceremony involving your pet can be a touching way to seal the bond between you, your partner, and your beloved furry friend.

Capturing the Paw-fect Moments

The moments when your pet takes center stage in your wedding ceremony are ones you’ll want to cherish forever. Ensure you have a dedicated photographer or videographer who understands the importance of capturing these special instances. Candid shots of your pet interacting with guests, walking down the aisle, or sharing a tender moment with you and your partner will be treasured mementos for years to come.

Which pets are best to include?

The best pets to include in a wedding ceremony largely depend on the pet’s temperament, training, and the couple’s preferences. Here are some pets that tend to do well in wedding ceremonies:

Dogs are often the most popular choice due to their trainable nature and their ability to walk down the aisle, wear adorable outfits, or even act as ring bearers. Breeds known for their calm and well-behaved disposition are usually the best choice.

Some cats can be trained to walk on a leash and might be suitable for indoor or more intimate ceremonies. Cats often bring an elegant and unique touch to the proceedings.

Birds, like doves or parrots, can be symbolic and visually stunning additions to a wedding ceremony. Releasing doves, for instance, can symbolize love and unity.

Additional pets to include:

Rabbits or Small Mammals

Small animals can be carried down the aisle or placed in a decorative cage. They add a unique and cute touch to the ceremony.

For outdoor or rustic-themed weddings, horses can make a grand entrance. They can be ridden by the couple or simply serve as beautiful background elements.

Pocket Pets (e.g., Hamsters, Guinea Pigs)

These tiny pets can be carried in pockets or small cages. They can be a fun and unexpected addition for animal-loving couples.

While they won’t walk down the aisle, having a fish tank as part of the décor can be a unique and calming touch to the ceremony. Consider a fish bowl addition to the signing table while you sign the marriage register.

Reptiles (e.g., Turtles, Lizards)

For couples with a fondness for reptiles, they can be a distinctive addition to the ceremony. They’re best suited for more casual or non-traditional weddings.

Ultimately, the key is to choose a pet that is comfortable, well-trained, and able to handle the environment and crowd. Additionally, it’s important to consider the pet’s temperament and preferences. Some pets thrive in social situations, while others may find them stressful. Always prioritize the well-being and comfort of your pet when deciding whether or not to include them in the ceremony.

Pet themed wedding ceremony music

If you’re planning a pet-themed wedding, incorporating music that celebrates the bond between humans and their furry companions can be a charming touch. Here’s a list of songs that evoke feelings of love, loyalty, and companionship, perfect for a pet-themed wedding:

This classic tune playfully captures the joy of adopting a new furry friend.

A fun, upbeat song that can add a lively touch to your wedding playlist.

“I Love My Dog” by Cat Stevens

This folk song beautifully expresses the deep love and companionship that people share with their dogs.

“Blackbird” by The Beatles

While not directly related to pets, this song’s lyrics about freedom and love can be interpreted as an ode to the open, unbreakable bond between couples and their pets.

Other pet themed music options:

“Walking the Dog” by Rufus Thomas

A catchy, feel-good tune that fits perfectly with a pet-themed wedding.

“Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley

This reggae classic can remind couples that no matter what challenges they face, they can find comfort and support in each other, much like the care they provide to their pets.

“Cat’s in the Cradle” by Harry Chapin

This poignant song explores the passage of time and the importance of cherishing moments with loved ones, including our pets.

“You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban

While not pet-specific, this powerful ballad can be interpreted as a tribute to the way pets lift our spirits and provide comfort in times of need.

“Me and You and a Dog Named Boo” by Lobo

A lighthearted, feel-good song that celebrates the simple joys of life, including the company of a beloved pet.

Remember to mix in some of your personal favorite songs that hold special meaning for you and your partner. This playlist will not only set a warm and inviting atmosphere but also celebrate the unique love and companionship that pets bring to our lives.

The solo violin

The smallest bowed string instrument in the violin family is the violin. It is also the quietest instrument, but that does not mean that it cannot produce a sound. Don’t forget that violin soloists regularly perform with a 50-100 piece orchestra. This is in a large hall seating 2000 or more people, and the solo violin can be heard over the entire orchestra. How? This comes down to the skill of the violinist, and positioning. This is why at wedding ceremonies for example we often are quite picky about the exact spot where our violinists and ensembles perform, no matter if the string ensemble is outdoors or indoors a single violinist is a great choice.

Duo d’Amore’s solo violinist is a great option for those who want live music but have a smaller budget. The solo violinist performs classical pieces, contemporary pieces, and a mix of both. Their music is perfect for wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and intimate dinners.

The solo cello

Like the solo violin, a solo cellist is a great option for slightly smaller wedding ceremonies and reception. Larger than the violin, it is very resonant, and can play an equally wide range of music. Clients that hire the solo cello and solo violin for weddings and events often have a guest list of under 50, but not necessarily so.

The violin and cello duo

The violin and cello duo, or string duet, is made up of one violin player and one cello player. This is our most requested string ensemble for hire. Having both the violin, which is able to play soaring melodies, and the cello which is able to anchor and often accompany, while having an even larger sound it is no wonder that this is our most popular string ensemble. I like to imagine that the violin is like the right hand of the piano and the cello is the left had of the piano, together they can play almost anything, and that is another reason that it is our most popular ensembles.

Duo d’Amore’s violin and cello duo is a popular choice for weddings. The duo consists of a violinist and a cellist who play together, creating a beautiful, harmonious sound. The duo’s repertoire includes classical pieces, contemporary pieces, and a mix of both. Their music is perfect for wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and dinner parties.

Not only classical–huge pop and modern music list

Having pop string music at a wedding or reception offers a unique and enchanting atmosphere that beautifully blends tradition with contemporary flair. One of the key advantages is the versatility it brings to the event. Pop string music has the ability to cover a wide range of popular songs, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Diverse musical experience

This creates a diverse musical experience that can cater to various tastes and preferences among guests. Additionally, the ethereal sound of strings adds an elegant and sophisticated touch to the occasion, elevating the overall ambiance and providing a touch of class that complements the celebration’s significance. The live performance of pop songs on strings infuses an intimate and emotional quality to the music, making it a memorable and cherished part of the wedding festivities. It strikes a perfect balance between modernity and timelessness, leaving a lasting impression on all those in attendance.
