Wedding violinist cellist Banff: Kimberly and Adrian

Wedding violinist and cellist Banff: Kimberley and Adrian wedding ceremony at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, in the Ivor Petrak Room, violin and cello duo, December 1, 2013, Banff AB. It was lovely to be back that the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, for a beautiful and classical winter wedding ceremony. For the processional our string musicians performed the famous Pachelbel Canon, leading into the very appropriate Winter from the Four Seasons by Vivaldi during the signing of the register. As the officiant presented the couple, we performed the second hornpipe from the Watermusic by Handel, as well as additional light classical music as the guests exited. Simple, classic and elegant!

In addition to their string quartet, Duo d’Amore also offers other wedding ensembles, including a violin and cello duo, a string trio, and a solo violinist and cellist. The solo violin

Our string quartet is the largest wedding ensemble that we have for hire in Banff.. The string quartet has a long and rich history. This dates back to the classical period of music in the 18th century. Composers such as Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven wrote some of the most famous and enduring string quartet works. In the 19th century, the string quartet continued to be an important genre, with composers such as Schubert and Brahms producing some of their most notable works in this format. During this time, the string quartet also began to be used for more private, intimate occasions such as weddings.
