Calgary wedding ceremony music-River Cafe

Calgary wedding ceremony music. This wedding was held on the outdoor patio of the River Cafe in Calgary—a beautiful location, and the musical selections were just as inspiring. For the ceremony Cristina and Ben chose primarily classical selections (with a modern and upbeat song at the finale of the ceremony) followed by contemporary music during the reception portion.  All of these songs work particularly well with the string ensemble they chose: the violin and cello duo—our most popular ensemble! Everything was seamless and beautiful, and finely coordinated as always with the talented planner at Evelyn Clark weddings. Thanks everyone!

 Wedding ceremony song selections:

Processional (wedding party and bridesmaids): Pachelbel Canon
Signing: Schubert: Ave Maria
Recessional: Bruno Mars: Marry You

Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” is a popular choice for weddings, and for good reason. This upbeat and joyful song is perfect for celebrating the excitement and happiness of getting married. It is also a great choice for a wedding string ensemble to perform, as the song’s melody and arrangement lend themselves well to classical instruments.

Catchy Melody

One of the main reasons why “Marry You” is a great choice for a wedding string ensemble is its simple and catchy melody. The song’s melody is easy to play and easy to remember, making it accessible to musicians of all skill levels. This makes it a great choice for a string quartet, string trio, or even a solo violin or cello performance.

In addition to its catchy melody, “Marry You” also has a lively and energetic rhythm that is perfect for a wedding celebration. The song’s upbeat tempo and lively beat make it a great choice for getting guests on the dance floor and creating a festive atmosphere.

Works well for strings

Another reason why “Marry You” is a great choice for a wedding string ensemble is its arrangement.  A string quartet or other classical ensemble can  perform the song without needing to make significant changes to the arrangement.

Sentimental Lyrics

Finally, “Marry You” is a great choice for a wedding string ensemble because of its sentimental lyrics. The song’s lyrics are all about love and commitment, making it a perfect fit for a wedding ceremony or reception. Whether played during the ceremony itself or as part of the reception music, “Marry You” is sure to create a romantic and emotional atmosphere that will be remembered by all in attendance.
