The venue’s angled glass room is very modern, while the service and the attention to detail from the staff has been honed for years, so it’s no secret that we love to perform here.
Ceremony music-classical and pop
The clients requested a mixture of classical and pop music during the wedding ceremony, with classical coming to the forefront. The bridesmaid’s processional was Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze, and this piece is a beautiful way to ease into the ceremony. As the bride walked down the aisle, the music shifted slightly to a Bach’s Air. This song has a wonderful octave leaps in the bass, which helps to anchor the sound and give the song a great footing to support the soaring and smooth upper line played by the violin. Of course, all of this is accentuated and highlighted by the beautiful acoustic in the room. Still sticking with Bach, the next time the string trio performed in the ceremony was when the papers were being signed. Bach’s Jesu Joy is a natural fit in keeping with the ‘Bach” theme.

The smallest bowed string instrument in the violin family is the violin. It is also the quietest instrument, but that does not mean that it cannot produce a sound. The violin and cello duo, or string duet, is made up of one violin player and one cello player. This is our most requested string ensemble for hire in Vancouver. Having both the violin, which is able to play soaring melodies, and the cello which is able to anchor and often accompany, while having an even larger sound it is no wonder that this is our most popular string ensemble. I like to imagine that the violin is like the right hand of the piano and the cello is the left had of the piano, together they can play almost anything, and that is another reason that it is our most popular ensembles.
