Thank you—Duo d’Amore was wonderful! Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be referring you. Christine and Hamza, bride and groom

It was an absolute pleasure working on the music for this wedding with these two great clients, and the wedding ceremony was the picture of elegance and refinement. The ceremony was held at the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa. One of the requests that the clients made was for our violinist and cellist to perform the Bach-Gounod Ave Maria at some point and we decided to play it alongside other classical musical selections as guests were arriving at the venue and taking their seats before the start of the ceremony. For the processional we performed Pachelbel Canon. I have written quite al lot about this song on the blog and how much we enjoy performing it as it is the perfect signal to the guests that something extraordinary is taking place—when this song starts everyone knows the wedding has begun and to watch as the bride walks down the aisle. The signing music was Bach’s Arioso, certainly on of our favorites and worked very well during the signing of the register. The couple selected Handel’s Hornpipe II for the recessional, and strains of that were heard as the bride and groom exited the church, amidst clapping and cheering.

Sarah and Dan’s wedding ceremony at Whistle Bear Golf Club, July 7, 2012, violin & cello duo, Cambridge ON

Our violinist and cellist performed an outdoor wedding at Whistle Bear golf course, just outside of Cambridge. When I was speaking with Sarah regarding the music that she and Dan wanted for the ceremony, I found out that they enjoyed the music of Antonio Vivaldi, and the selected interesting music, by Bach (another baroque composer) as well as Giuseppe Verdi. The program as a whole was fantastic, and we were so happy to be able to perform all of the music they requested.
