Vicki and Justin’s wedding at Cave Springs Vineyard, October 12, 2012, violin and cello duo, Cave Springs, Jordan ON

Fall wedding ceremonies can be spectacular, especially when the weather cooperates. This wedding was lovely, and it’s certainly a wonderful time to be in wine country, as even more than spring time, the fall brings a sense of excitement, and the vineyard has never looked prettier or more tidy, as pruning has begun, much of the harvest is over (except for late harvest and ice wines) and already some of the red wines are in barrel fermenting. Back to this wedding: the ceremony was lovely and we particularly (as well as the guests) enjoyed Vicki and Justin’s wedding ceremony music selections. The ceremony music choices were all classical and highlighted some incredible baroque music by French and English composers (Charpentier and Purcell) as well as German (Bach and Handel) and an arrangement or reconfiguring of a work by Bach, but by the French Romantic composer Charles Gounod. The overall effect was incredible.
