As much as we enjoy performing outdoors for weddings in the summer, it is a real pleasure to perform indoors at church. The other pleasure of the day was helping to make Matthew and Karina’s wedding really special. During the prelude, we selected a number of mellow pieces of classical music, including Bach Air, which somehow has a light summer feel to it. For the attendants Duo d’Amore performed Pachelbel Canon, followed by a special arrangement of an interesting song requested by the bride and groom: Moments with Oliver, which they were thrilled to have performed by the violinist and cellist. The next piece that we performed was Meditation from the Opera Thaïs, by Massenet, and it provide a contrast with the brides processional. Rounding out the ceremony we performed Bach’s Jesu Joy.

Attendants processional – Canon in D
Brides processional – Moments with Oliver
Signing of the registry – Meditation from Thais
Recessional – Jesu Joy of mans desiring
Wedding ceremony musicians: Duo d’Amore-string duos, trios and quartets
Wedding Venue: St Marks Anglican Church, Ottawa ON
Wedding planner: Angelita Aboukassam, Sizzle with Decor
