Josh and Glendys wedding thank you June 29, 2019 at Roseville Estates

We received a lovely thank you note from our clients Josh and Glendys on their first wedding anniversary. They were married on June 29, 2019 at the beautiful Roseville Estate in Cambridge ON.  They also sent us this heartfelt message following the performance:

We would like to thank you for the amazing performance at our ceremony, we would have loved to say bye or greeting you before you left, however, we didn't have a chance, there was a lot going on...

We would like to let you know that we love the performance, and especially the Venezuela piece was amazing... A lot of our guest cried when the piece came up.

I hope you got what you needed, and Amy helped you with everything.

Josh and Glendys hired the violin and cello duo to perform and chose the following music:

Family Processional: Pachelbel Canon in D
Wedding Party Processional : A thousand years Christina Perri
Bride Processional: Venezuela
Signing: Bach-Gounod: Ave Maria
Recessional:  Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol

Blue Mountain Heaven-Venue Spotlight wedding music Grey-Bruce

As a new part of our blog, we will be periodically highlighting a number of different wedding ceremony and event venues some of which don't get a lot of press, and this is one of them. Why is that? Well for starters this is a small patch of land with  a stunning view that would suit a small intimate wedding, weather dependant. However it is just that that makes it shine. Our solo violinist and violin and cello duo have performed here for a number of weddings in the past (see the photo for a beautiful June wedding ceremony)  and we look forward to performing here again in 2020 and in the years to come!

A few weeks ago we received an email on behalf of the Canadian flm distributor for Elevation Pictures, with a

special invite for our players to attend an advance screening of a The Song Of Names. The film stars Tim Roth and Clive Owen and is directed by Francois Girard. Needless to say we are honoured and excited to see this movie, and from the trailer the violin playing looks great!

Wedding Music Toronto- Elizabeth and Bruno’s wedding August 24, Copper Creek Golf Course, violin and cello

Our violin and cello duo performed a beautiful wedding ceremony and cocktail reception on the terrace at Copper Creek Golf Course in Vaughan.  As the guests arrived before the ceremony, we set the tome by performing a great selection of classical music, continuing on to the ceremony itself with a traditional theme:

Wedding party processional: Bach Air on the G-string
Bride processional: Pachelbel Canon D
Signing: Bach-Gounod Ave Maria
Recessional: Clarke Trumpet Voluntary

One of the things that we really enjoy is being able to tailor the length of songs to fit the portions of the ceremony, and classical selections work very well to create a custom, seamless beginning and end to the various songs. As we transitioned from the ceremony to the cocktail hour we then started to play much more upbeat selections from our extensive pop repertoire.  This is something that adds a really unique and exciting touch, having the strings play both classical and then great pop arrangements, and it is something that the bride, groom and their guests will always remember. Our thanks to photographer Samantha Ong for her beautiful work!

Cocktail Hour:

A Thousand Years – Christina Perri
Con Te Partiro – Francesco Sartori and L. Quarantotto
The Rose – Bette Midler
Wonderful Tonight – Eric Clapton
Marry Me – Train
Thank You for Loving Me – Bon Jovi
Unchained Melody – The Righteous Brothers
Unforgettable – Nat King Cole
You Raise Me Up – Josh Groban
